The event hosted in collaboration with Stoneridge and Volvo Trucks proved to be an enriching experience for 17 participants. The day kicked off with a warm welcome from Stoneridge, setting a positive tone right from the start. The highlight for many was the tour of the new Volvo FH 460 Turbo Compound 4X2 AERO truck, where some attendees got to experience firsthand Volvo’s advanced Camera Monitor System (CMS).
This system, developed in collaboration with Stoneridge, represents a significant innovation in road safety technology, replacing traditional mirrors with high-resolution cameras. The demo gave us a glimpse of the future of truck driving, and seeing how the camera mirrors work in real-life conditions was especially eye-opening for the group. The increased visibility, improved aerodynamics, and enhanced safety features left a strong impression on all of us.
After the tour, a company introduction provided valuable insights into Stoneridge latest developments, followed by a production tour of Stoneridge’s facilities. This guided tour was particularly fascinating, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the manufacturing processes that power these groundbreaking innovations.
