On November 7th, SCCE members gathered at Telia HQ in Tallinn for an informative and engaging Cybersecurity Seminar. Hosted by Margus Vaino, Head of Cybersecurity and New Business at Telia, the event combined a workshop and roundtable discussion, providing participants with essential updates on the current cyber landscape.
The afternoon began with a warm welcome from Kristjan Kukk, Telia’s Head of B2B Estonia, followed by an insightful tour of Telia’s facilities, where attendees gained a first-hand view of Telia’s operations and work culture. After a quick coffee break, we dove into the cybersecurity session, led by Margus Vaino and Matis Palm.
In the workshop, Telia experts provided a detailed overview of the latest threats facing companies, from targeted attacks and high-profile hacking incidents to DDoS attacks. Real-world examples, including recent incidents at companies like Hansab and Estanc, underscored the importance of robust cybersecurity practices. The presenters shared practical advice on enhancing security measures, making the session not only informative but also actionable for all participants.
The roundtable format encouraged lively discussion, allowing members to ask questions and discuss cybersecurity strategies relevant to their own businesses. This collaborative exchange of ideas and best practices was invaluable in helping us all feel more prepared to navigate the challenges of today’s cyber environment.
A big thank you to Telia and everyone who contributed to this valuable learning experience. Together, we’re building a more resilient business community!
